Keytouch has broad experience designing controls for use in operator panels, which enable communication through a wide range of interfaces. We also develop software and driver applications tailored to customer requirements.

Keytouch manufactures controls used to communicate with standard personal computers. Common characteristics include:

Operator panels that are connected to a standard PC can communicate through a range of interfaces, such as:

PS/2

PS/2 is communication intended for keyboard and pointing units like mouse, trackball and touchpad.

Key codes and pointing unit codes are transmitted to the PC which controls three keyboard joints. Integrating a rotary wheel into the keyboard is possible.

Operator panels can be backlit with input power from the PS/2 interface.

USB

Communication designed for all types of I/O units including keyboard, joystick, rotation wheel, pointing devices, display, buzzer/speaker, and LED.

All I/O units are operated by a micro-controller that communicates with the PC via USB.

Keytouch can offer separate driver software in operator panels containing devices other than keyboards and pointing devices.

Operator panels can be backlit with input power from the USB interface.

LAN / Dual LAN

LAN / Dual LAN communication is intended for the same I/O units as USB. This is communication through standard 10/100mbit LAN, with the option of Dual LAN where redundancy is wanted.

We offer separate LAN application for PC, which is adapted the operator panel.

RS-232/422/485

Custom-made solutions based on RS-232/422/485 for communication with PLS and external controls. It is suitable for communication over long distances.

Wireless communication

Keytouch designs operator panels with wireless communication, where the sender operates in a license free area, where the range varies from a few meters to several kilometers.

Bus communication

Keytouch is a provider of most types of bus communications.
